Bhakthi-yoga, pure devotional service  to the Lord is the highest and most expedient means for attaining pure love for the God, which is the highest end of spiritual existence. Those who follows this supreme path develop divine qualities.
” sarva-dharman parityajya –  mam ekam saranam vraja – aham tvam sarva- papebhyo – moksayisyami ma sucah “  ( Bhagavda-gita ) “  (Sankrit ).  The meaning  –   One should give up all other processes of self-realization and simply execute devotional service in Krishna ( God ) consciousness. That will enable one to reach the highest perfection of life. There is no need for one to consider the sinful actions of his past life, because the Supreme Lord fully takes charge of him. Therefore one should not futilely try to deliver himself in spiritual realization. Let everyone take shelter of the supreme omnipotent Godhead, Krishna. That is the highest perfection of life.
It is also a types of  Yoga mentioned in Hindu philosophies which denotes the spiritual practice of fostering loving devotion or Bhakti to a personal form of God. Anybody can practice this Yoga and even a lay man can become a Jhani ( a man of wisdom ) by doing so.  One who understands the difference between the body, the soul and the Super-soul beyond them both attain liberation from the material world. It is said in Bhagavat-gita  by Lord Krishna -”  those who follows this imperishable path of devotional service and who completely  engage themselves with faith, making Me the supreme goal, are very, very dear to Me.  ” OM TAT SAT ”
